To provide a mission experience for older elementary and middle school students within the Arkansas United Methodist Annual Conference.
What is Destination: Mission?
Destination: Mission Trips began in 2008, as a mission project for students attending First United Methodist Church – Siloam Springs.
The first year, a group of adults, led by Kaylea Hutson, then minister to families with children, ventured to Joplin, Mo., for Destination: Joplin.
The mission trip has now grown beyond Siloam Springs to include multiple churches within the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church including: Elm Springs, First Bella Vista, First Springdale, Central Fayetteville, St. Paul Little Rock, Pulaski Heights Little Rock, St. James Little Rock, Vilonia, Asbury Little Rock, and Highland Valley Little Rock.
